Bright and Leafy Card

I'm so excited to report that one of my cards is being featured on the Paper Crafts Magazine Blog!

Those Paper Crafts girls (and guy:-) are just great and I'm loving that some of my craftiness is associated with their publication! Be sure to take a look at today's blog post!

For today's project I wanted to mimic the layout used on the card featured on Paper Crafts Connections.

My card is based on a sketch I made while sitting in a meeting - kind of like when you used to doodle in the margins in grade school!

You see - wherever I go I always have my sketchbook (and an issue of Paper Crafts Mag) in my purse. You may call it "obsessed" - I call it prepared!

For this particular meeting, though - I didn't have my purse. So I did a little sketching on the paper I had with me - nevermind that the paper happened to be a draft of an abstract that I'm presenting at an upcoming conference! (Hey, paper is paper and it is meant for sketching!)

So here's my sketch (excuse the terrible photo)

As you can see from my scribblings - I envisioned this sketch with Maile Belle's new stamp set "Modern Basics" - Turns out my vision was pretty spot on - I love the way this card came out! Simple & Bright - my favorite combination!

Thanks for stopping by for a little Damask Love!

(and thank you for all your comments and emails! Each one puts a big smile on my face!)

Supplies ( All PTI unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Modern Basics, Mega Mixed Messages
Paper: Simply Chartreuse, Vintage Cream, Hawaiian Shores
