Today I'm peeking three of the many features that you'll be seeing on the new Damask Love site.
Personally, I love regular blog features! They let me know what to expect and they add a little diversity to the content....because in all honesty, cards aren't always the most exciting thing happening in my craftroom - so I figure, why not share what really is going on, right!?
Like I've mentioned, there will be PLENTY of cardmaking around here, but I hope you'll enjoy some of the other features that I've developed to make Damask Love a fun, unique and inspirational blog for you to visit!
First up is a feature that I'm calling "Craftroom Crush." It's my way of sharing the current products that I'm jonesing on in the craftroom. Sometimes, this feature will include a cool new tool or a stamping product. Other times, I might veer in another direction and feature decor or fashion that is perfect for your craft loving soul.
Here's a peek at the layout for the Craftroom Crush feature along with my current craftroom obsession!
I bought this swanky little apron from Anthropologie on uber-duper sale! I wear it while I'm getting inky in the craftroom to be sure that I don't make a mess of my clothing. Also - the apron kind of makes me feel official - like I'm running a little craft studio of my own!
Sadly, this apron isn't available on the Anthro site, but THIS one is and I love it.
So tell me, do you wear an apron while you craft?
Here's how it works: I take two, fairly easy to obtain products or two colors and create something awesome. Here's a peek a the first installation of Craft Math...glitter and a composition book...hmmmm......
If you have an idea for two items or colors that you think should be combined in a Craft Math feature, let me know! I love a challenge!
Each week, I'll hold Office Hours with a post dedicated to a question that I've received. If your question doesn't pop up right away, don't worry, it may show up in a future Office Hours post.
On the new blog there will be a Contact page making it easy for you to email me! In the meantime, if you have questions, just send them over to damaskloveblog{at}gmail{dot}com!
And just in case you're wondering what question I'll be answering in the first Office Hours post, here it is!
I received this question from a reader and I'm anxiously awaiting the chance to share my answer!
Alrighty gals (and guys) - that's it for the sneak peeks! I'l be posting my Style Watch project on Saturday and then after that - my next post will be one that says "I've Moved!"
Thanks for hanging out today!
P.S. Visit me over on the Damask Love Facebook Page - we're over there talking about cardbases and envelopes...should they match? And I have a card that I'll be posting there later and I'd love your opinion!
What a great post. I love all the little features you are going to have on your new site. Can't wait for it to officially open.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, you are good at building interest! [The peeks got my interest for sure.] I too am looking forward to your new site [and digs].
ReplyDeleteLove it! Looking forward to the new blog and its features. Love your apron. My apron is pretty basic but I love yours - thinkin' I need to update!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely looking forward to that office hours question/answer. I DO want to see.
ReplyDeleteApron? Nope. I am in my way too casual clothes when I am in my craft room. No need :)
Okay, before I became a crafty mommy, I was a PR person for 10 years. I want to say that Vicki is right. You are great at building interest! I love those feature ideas. I already have a question for your Office Hours feature! How do I submit it?
ReplyDeleteAnnette - you can send me your question via email at: damaskloveblog {at }gmail {dot} com. Can't wait to hear what you're thinking!
ReplyDeleteI think you're trying to take over the crafting world, and I totally think you're gonna do it! I love everything.. you're working SO hard, and it's all going to pay off, I am sure of it!! :D
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love it! All those ideas spinning around your head - I agree, you're taking over the craft world with style...quite clearly with that apron! Yes, I'm an apron girl...the frillier and prettiest apron the better! I'm going to post all my aprons one day! Yes...very much looking forward to seeing your craft space.
