I am obsessed with non-traditional Christmas colors, which is precisely why you won't find a stitch of red or green in our house this year. Last year we did teal & silver...this year we're having a Mardi Gras-themed tree (right down to a few Mardi Gras mask ornaments)!
With my love of color in mind and with this photo as inspiration...
I created this mod holiday card...
This card took a little while to create, since I die cut each square and circle using my Spellbinders dies. Lucky for me, my eyes were glued to Oprah's Life Class while I was die cutting, so the time flew by (commercial break: I am obsessed with Oprah's Life Class!)
Once cut, I simply arranged the pattern, adhered with dimensional adhesive and stamped the sentiment!
The pattern alternates between negative and positive circle cuts, which I think adds so much interest and texture!
Here are some supersized close-ups to give you an idea of the dimension:
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: PTI (Faux Ribbon)
Ink: Impress Ink (Fuchsia)
Cardstock: PTI (Raspberry Fizz, New Leaf, Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst, white)
Other: Spellbinders dies (Circles, Squares)
This is gorgeous Amber! Love those bright colours. Such a fun card :)
ReplyDeleteI love it - very stylish! My colours this year are lime green and white with a tiny bit of navy blue. Lime green must be the thing this year!
