CAS-UAL Friday - "Orange" You Ready to Trick or Treat

Hey Everyone! How was your weekend? Ours was rainy:-( We did take a trip to Ikea on Friday night, though...and I'm proud to announce that we are still engaged.

I'm convinced that Ikea is terrible for relationships and I'm sure that they are responsible for the increase in divorce rates. It's designed like a maze and all the big decisions are at the end of the maze, when you are already at each other's throats. THEN...as if that's not enough, you have to go through that warehouse with these wobbly carts to pick-up 500lbs worth of boxes while the scent of cinnamon rolls wafts through the air.

We made it out unscathed and with a wedding still in the works!

During this rainy weekend, I also pumped out a card for the current CAS-ual Friday Challenge, which calls  for Halloween cards ...no orange!

I went with this spooky design:

I die cut a circle from cardstock and used it to mask the cardbase. Then, with a sponge and some PTI Fresh Snow ink, I filled in the moon.

I cut those little bats out using the Wild Card cartridge on my Cricut machine - I love how they are flying away!

With a quick Halloweenie sentiment and a black tree branch, this CAS card was all done!

Thanks for stopping by for some Damask Love!

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampendous (Vases set); Fiskars (Halloween Night set)
Ink: PTI (Fresh Snow), Ranger Archival (Jet Black)
Paper: PTI (Smokey Shadow, True Black)
Other: Wild Card cartridge by Cricut

  4. How fun! Love your CREATIVE design, Amber! And I totally understand about the trip to IKEA...if my hubby and I didn't argue in the store, I consider that a SUCCESS! Half of the time is because we had lost each other in the IKEA "maze" and wasted time to find each other.. and then we got all frustrated. But thankfully we have enough furniture-for now! Glad that you join the fun with us at CAS-ual Fridays!

  5. I think the real challenge to a relationship does not occur in Ikea itself - but occurs after a trip to Ikea, when you get home and try to put what your purchased. "what, are you an idiot? The little man in the picture is clearly holding the small screw with the flat head, and not the medium screw with the round head!"
