This week's challenge was all about Creative Die Cuts - so I new I had to get super crafty and think outside of the box!
Now, unlike last weekend, I didn't get the chance to obsess over my entry all weekend (more on that tomorrow;-) - so yesterday, I sat down and channeled every single ounce of creativity in my body.
As I paged through magazines, in search of inspiration, I happened upon a few quilled embellishments.
Making this butterfly is as simple as die cutting a few concentric circles. I'll show you what I mean...
First I cut the circles using Nestabilities small and large standard circles
Next, I snipped away a portion of all the circles.
Then I curved the circle as shown and adhered with glue.
I cut away the excess with scissors
repeat with the next circle...
..and the next.
one wing down...three more to go!
I love that this die cut technique creates such a fun layered look. You could use this to create tons of fun shapes and embellishments!
Thanks for fluttering by for my Round 2 submission!! NOW. GO. VOTE!!!
Come back tomorrow for more creative die cuts and a VERY special post. I'm so excited about it:-)
Did you pick the green nail polish to complement the purple cardstock? LOL! :)
