Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #7 & Totally Hues #4

Today I'm sharing one entry for two challenges!

The Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge and the Totally Hues Challege #4!

My project is inspired by a beautiful book that Andrew's parents gave me.

The book is called Inspirations by Preston Bailey - who is possibly the most talented and amazing floral/event designer ever. Andrew's parents met Preston in Las Vegas at a convention and they purchased his book  - and even had it signed for me!

Each page of this book is filled with the most beautiful and awe inspiring photographs. You should get a copy - really - you should!

I created this card with Preston's fabulous floral designs in mind. I also used this week's Make It Monday technique: Adding color to non-neutral cardstock.

I just love the Springtime feel of this card!

I used my Tombow Watercolor markers to color in each flower and they worked surprisingly well - even though the paper is not meant for watercoloring.

I adhered the blooms with dimensional adhesive to add dimension and interest to this otherwise very simple card.

I fussed with the sentiment for at least an hour before settling upon the casual "Thank you" font included in PTI's Inside & Out Thank You stamp set.

The sentiment is perfect since I'm truly so appreciative of the fabulous gift that inspired this card.

Thank you Mark & Cindy! I love it!

Thanks for stopping by for some Damask Love!
