Paper Crafts Magazine - 365 Cards Blog Hop

Long time, no blog, huh?!

Well,  I didn't forget about ya...and I didn't just give up on blogging. I just took some much needed time away from stamping to just rest,  enjoy life...and do some wedding planning! I guess I needed a little escape to get my crafty mojo back in working order!

Now that I'm back at it, there's no better way to jump start the old bloggo, than with a Paper Crafts Blog Hop for the most recent special issue, 365 Cards.

This issue was a blast to work on. I mean...have you taken a look at some of the wacky holidays out there?! For this issue, I searched online for fun holidays that would inspire cards. My favorite?  National Talk Like a Pirate Day!

For today's blog hop, I am joining forces with 11 other designers to showcase a year's worth of holiday inspired cards.
Since I've spent a little time away from the blog,  I decided that I'd create two cards for today's hop!

I did some quick research on the month of June and found some hilariously, ridiculous holidays.  What are you plans for celebrating Waffle Iron Day? Or Take Your Dog to Work Day? And what the heck do you to celebrate World Sauntering Day! I suppose you just saunter all day long, huh?

Who comes up with these?!!?

For my first card, I went with a fun & silly holiday: Repeat Day (I said "Repeat Day)!
Using one of my favorite sentiments, I repeatedly stamped...and stamped some more to create this colorful birthday card.

For my next project, I went with a more well known holiday...perhaps the most well known holiday in June...Father's Day!
I am in love with the recently released Harvest Berries set by Papertrey Ink and the images are just perfect for masculine cards.

To create a little interest and depth on this otherwise simple card, I used the Rock & Roll technique on the stamps. I love the autumnal gradient of color on the edges of the leaves!

Alrighty!
Now it's time for you to check out more 365 inspiration! But before you head off to your next blog, be sure to leave a comment here for your chance to win a copy of Paper Crafts 365 Cards!

You also have the chance to win a super fun & mysterious prize by leaving a comment on the Paper Crafts Connection Blog - trust me, it's a prize that you NEED for your craft room!
