Another Reject Blog Hop!

It's that time again! Time to give some love and attention to those projects that won't be on the pages of Paper Crafts May/June issue...560 to be exact!

This time around, 640 submissions were whittled down to just 90...I can't imagine how tough it is to select the projects that will be published with so many to choose from.

Luckily, the RBH is here to save the day!! (Well, maybe not save the day...that's a bit of an overstatement...but you know what I mean, right?!)

I had a few projects picked up for this call, but I've got a reject for you that I'm pretty excited about! It's simple and it is the epitome of "If I can do this, you DEFINITELY can do this!"

I submitted this project for the Mother's Gift & Card Category:

The tufted sachets are made with burlap that I found laying around and they are filled with lavender, which I picked up at Michaels ...honestly...someone needs to invent smell-o-blogging, because these things smell wonderful!

Even with my "leaves-much-to-be-desired" sewing skills, I made these two sachets using 4"x4" squares of burlap and tufted them with a purple button and a sweet little tag from PTI's Tiny Tags set.

I was so excited to break out my Year of Flowers Collection for this project, too! The lilac image was the PERFECT way to coordinate the card and sachets...if I do say so myself! ;-)

So now that I'm done blabbing, how about you show off your rejects! (And if you're new to the Reject Blog Hop, welcome! Around here, we use "reject" in the most loving and fun way possible!)

  1. I don't sew either, so it's encouraging to see simple crafts like this that turn out so beautifully! Great job!

  2. This is a very pretty set! I'm allergic to lavender, but even I have some waiting to be tucked into a gift sachet! LOL!

I was contacted to send a photo of another view of my card but no words further... How do we know we are rejected?
