Cardstock and stamps. Sometimes you've just gotta get down to basics and see what happens. That's what I did when I interpreted this month's photo for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!
My first inclination was to do something with polka dots...but I thought that might be too predictable, so I decided to create a colorful falling leaves motif with a few dots mixed in.
I absolutely love using my stamps to create the suggestion of movement. It's such a fun and simple technique that can "snazzify" a one-layer card.
For this card, I used my Falling Leaves stamp set. Since I wanted to stamp varied sizes of leaves, I did something that is probably going to make you cringe...I cut apart the leaves stamp that is intended for matching up with the branch. Blasphemy, right?
Truth be told, I am way more likely to use the leaves individually than as a joined group. It just jives with my cardmaking style!
Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Hopping!
Supplies:
Stamps: PTI (Falling Leaves, assorted small circle stamps)
