Skipping Stones Guest Designer!

This week is going to be a busy one a Damask Love. Matter of fact, I'm not quite sure how I'm going to pack everything in!!

Today I'm here with a fun announcement, which you may or may not already know about!

I was recently invited to be a guest designer for Skipping Stones Designs...and of course I said "YES!"

I'm joining a team of super talented design team members and guest designers....and I hope I'm able to make the SSD peeps proud with my creations.

Each Tuesday during September, the designers will share their take on fabulous sketches, created by this month's sketch designer, Amy Sheffer.

So, without further adieu...here's the first sketch!

Now, before I share my take on this sketch, first I must say that I am notorious for taking liberties when it comes to interpreting sketches...what can I say...it's just how I roll.

So, for this sketch, I decided to use color rather than paper or embellishments to represent each element in the design. 

I prefer one-layered, simple cards (you should know that by now) - so I stayed true to my style...even if it meant using a little creative license!

I designed the card using elements from Skipping Stones Garden Kiss Set.

I used three rows of circles and a strip down the side along with one lone pink circle to represent the star in the sketch.
