Christmas in August - Casual Fridays #16

How is Monday already? I know people say it all of the time, but, seriously - I'm convinced that the days are getting shorter!

I'm stopping in with a winter/holiday card that I made using nontraditional winter/holiday colors. I'm sure it's no shock to you, since bright colors are my fave!

This layout is super simple and was inspired by a card I saw online. I included an embossed sentiment that adds the the right amount of texture. I'm entering it into this week's CAS-ual Friday Challenge that is all about embossing!  

Note to self: I really need to do more heat embossing. It's so great for adding a bright white sentiment or image to colored cardstock.

 

It's difficult to see in the photo, but that snowman is full of glitter goodness!! A fun sparkly addition to this bright, simple card.

I'm sure many of your northerners hate the thought of blustery winter weather, but here in Miami, I would welcome a littler Winter in August...considering that here, winter weather is a balmy 70 degrees!
