Well, hello there!

In case you missed the big release last week, we are talking about all things aviary this month. And the newly released sets {Tweet Notes + Feathers} for June are must-haves in your stamp collection! They are full of aviary goodness that is right on trend with one of the most popular themes in fashion, home décor and even weddings.

In the spirit of full disclosure – I must say that I am completely terrified of birds. If they get too close, my pulse starts racing. I once had a few birds build a nest on my front porch. Needless to say, I crept up my entryway like a burglar each time I came home. No need to disturb them and cause a scene. But when it comes to crafting – birds are a wonderful theme for countless projects and I embrace the images of feathers, birdcages and nests for all they’re worth.

When incorporating birds into papercrafting, it’s fun to build an image that conveys your sentiment. I’ve done just that with today’s clean and simple card, by using one of the clever sentiments included in the Tweet Notes set. I hope you’ll take a look and that you’ll “hang out” with me each Saturday as I bring you another issue of Style Watch…

Until later, Loverlies
Amber D.

P.S. Don't forget to enter the Awesomely Aviary Challenge! You can win both June release stamps AND the chance to design a project that will be featured on the CSS App! Click the link in the sidebar to check out the challenge.

  1. I had to laugh out loud at your bird story. We had birds build a nest in the exhaust fan of the downstairs half bath and, even though they were "evacuated" weeks ago, I still refuse to set foot in that bathroom. LOL. It's something about birds that just feels threatening. I'm getting the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.

Your card is adorable! Love the font of the sentiment especially and the color scheme is soft and sweet.

  2. I got the newsletter! Great job! And cute card! I have a quick question: Are we able to still participate in the latest CSS challenge with birds even though we might not have a CSS bird stamp? I'm still trying to build my collection. I love the colors in the images-could we go that route instead?
