Noah's Ark Baby Name Plate

The Blog Hop is still going strong! Click the image to head on over.

Now - on to today's project!

It must be baby season.

Actually - I'm making an executive decision and declaring that right now - it is baby season. Officially.

How else do you explain the following:

1) I work in a research lab with four full-time employees. Three of them are pregnant - present company EXCLUDED! (I try to take short, shallow breaths while I'm at work so I don't catch it - and I only drink bottled water).

2) There are three people in my immediate circle of friends who have delivered babies in the last month.

3) There are at least 12 people in my extended circle of friends who delivered in the last two months.

4) Finally, Paper Crafts Magazine's March Challenge is all about babies!  Coincidence? I don't think so.

So - with it being Baby Season and all - I thought I'd do a little baby inspired crafting!

My project is a simple name plate for a baby boy.

The design was inspired by the Whimsical Ark Plate sold at Plates & Napkins - a super cute online party supply company! I've been following them on Twitter and I just love their stuff!

Here's my crafty take on it:

How cute?!
(as long as you look past the "A" that's a little askew)

I'm also submitting this creation to the Wee Memories Challenge #48 (WMC48).
The theme is Cute & Cuddly Creatures - and this project definitely fits the bill!

Thanks for stopping by for a little Damask Love!
