Clear and Simple Stamps: Ragdoll Crayon Box Release

I love to color. Yes, I'm a grown woman ...and I love to color. But, if you gave me the choice between crayons and jellybeans, jelly beans will win everytime (especially the pear flavored Jelly Belly ones, those are my fave).

You are probably wondering why the heck I am talking about jelly beans and crayons. Well, I promise there is a rhyme to my reason.

Today, along with the CSS Design Team, I'm celebrating another awesome release day, which features those adorable Rag Dolls and a few dies that you are going to love.

This month, the Rag Dolls are getting dressed up. Dressed up for Halloween and dressed up for school. As a part of their back-to-school gear, CSS is adding a really fun Party Favor die to the collection that resembles a crayon box.

I couldn't resist using this die to create a realistic-looking favor filled with a rainbow of sweets. Take a look and then be sure to visit the rest of the design team for more inspiration.

Until Later Loverlies,
Amber KG

If you are gonna have a crayon box die, you should probably just go ahead and decorate it like a crayon box, right? But who says that you have to fill it with crayons?! Um...nobody. This is clearly where the Crayola folks went all wrong. If they'd gone the jellybean route, I'm sure things would have panned out a lot better for them.

The 'how-to' on this project is pretty straightforward!

After die cutting the crayon box, I used Glamazon Green cardstock to add the tell-tale crayon box details. From there, I stamped the "I Love you more than jellybeans" sentiment using the Sweet Sentiments stamp set. Pretty simple, right?

Oh, and I should let you know that yes, jellybeans were harmed in the making of this project. Except for the blue ones. They're nasty.

Alrighty - time for you to go visit the rest of the design team!

  3. Your write ups crack me up, Amber! The blue ones are nasty... lol. Very cool idea. I love that the giftee will think crayons when opening but get something way better.
