Papertrey Ink June Blog Hop

It's been months since I played along with the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop...and today I'm breaking the streak!

I was especially inspired by the colors in this month's blog hop photo - I love the combination of teal blue and yellow and a bit of grey. With these colors in mind and a little creativity, I put together a really simple desk set using some supplies you might not suspect.

First, I stamped out a set of one sided note cards using the Guide Lines Two stamp set. It's been ages since I pulled out this set...matter of fact...this may be the first time I've ever used it!

Once I'd stamped the note cards, I wanted to package them up in a nice way. I decided to use the Clearly Creative Card Boxes (Small Square and Rectangle), which I cut so that they were open on the top. I adhered the smaller rectangle box to the front of the square box to create two compartments for the desk set.

The front portion held the notecards, while the back portion is perfectly sized for a set of envelopes and a pen.

On the front, I added a monogrammed label using Mat Stack 5 accented by the Quatrefoil die.

I love the simplicity of this design as well as the simplicity of assembling this gift set. All in all, it took about twenty minutes to create this set, and I bet you could mass produce these babies in no time if you put your mind (and your Cuttlebug) to work!

Okee dokes, folks - happy blog Hopping and thanks for stopping by!
