Clear and Simple Stamps Style Watch: Easter Baskets with Style

Tomorrow is Easter Day and I'm ringing it in a bit early with a fun pair of projects that are perfect for this special holiday. But keep in mind, this project can be easily translated to other Spring and Summertime occasions.

Clear and Simple Stamps has a growing collection of party favors, including the recently released Party Favor 4 die, which includes two parts. For today's project, I transformed the bottom portion of the Party Favor 4 die into an adorable Easter basket!

The fun part of this project is that it's also perfect for creating picnic themed favors. You'll definitely want to file this technique away for the upcoming summer months.

Visit my blog, Damask Love for a few photos of how this project came together...

Until Later Loverlies!

The cute little baskets came together very easily! Here's how:

I started with the newly released Clear and Simple Stamps Party Favor 4 Die.

Then, using 1/2" strips of paper which I distressed on the edges with a sponge and the Espresso Your Style Hybrid Ink, I created a woven basket pattern over the favor box.

With the favor box covered, I dressed it up with a simple handle, a paper ribbon and some grass around the base, which I created with the absolutely fabulous Border: Grass Die.

To complete this basket, I stamped a "Happy Easter" sentiment inside the Labels 3 Die.

For a smaller version of this basket, I pulled out my Party Favors 1 die (one of my favorites!) and created another basket! This time I added a simple bit of twine and a tag to finish it off!

Now, of course, with Easter being tomorrow - you may not have time to whip up these baskets in time for your friends and family - but never fear - I've got another version of this same project that will take you into the summer months in style!

Using the same basket design, I used the Build-A-Plaid stamp set to create an adorable gingham "napkin" - transforming this Easter basket into the perfect picnic favor!

How cute would these be filled with cookies or strawberry gummies, and used as placecards for a picnic dinner?!

I hope I've inspired you today with these projects and gotten you in the mood for some summertime fun!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful & happy Easter weekend!
