CAS-ual Fridays #32: Signed, Sealed, Delivered

I'm no stranger to cards with coordinating envelopes. To the contrary - it's a little obsession of mine. This week's CAS-ual Friday Challenge: Signed, Sealed, Delivered is paying tribute to the  envelope - which is so often ignored (poor envelopes!)

With Valentine's Day on the horizon, I decided to create a card with that holiday in mind. It's not too lovey dovey, but I think it conveys the idea through the colors and the sentiment.

Now - let me take you on a little tour of this card, since I'm sorta just a little bit in love with this one.

I wanted to include a fun little icon in each word that coordinated with it's meaning. A sweet tulip for the "I" in "Live" - two little smile lines on the "U" in "Laugh" - and of course a heart in place of the "O" in "Love."

For the smile lines in "Laugh" I inked up a teensy bit of the "O" letter in PTI's Fresh Alphabet set. The result is a perfectly curved line that works for smile lines. Easy, huh?

I added a tab of chevron ribbon to the card - which served as my inspiration for the envelope liner.

So there ya go - a CAS card with a coordinating envelope!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I can so see why you are rather enamoured with this card. It's a goodie. I love the charming little additions in each word. It is so very clever how you have done that. Especially with the word laugh. That chevron envie liner is pretty spesh too. Just magic, Oh Crafty One. Happy Holidays!
